Here's How to Not Fail Your 2023 Health Goals!

newyear

Another year, another set of goals…

The New Year always brings about a sense of inspiration, a chance to start again and become the person you’ve always wanted to be! But time and time again, I hear of people not achieving the health goals they set in the New Year…WHY!?

I think the biggest reason for people not achieving the goals they set out at the New Year is because the goals are simply not achievable for that person at that time! Say for example you are someone who never works out, but you feel like this year you want to lose that stubborn body fat that’s always weighed you down and work out more. In most cases, this individual with these goals will set the expectation that they are going to go to the gym every single day, and THAT is where people go wrong…

You can’t go from never working out to working out everyday…9 times out of 10 you will give up on this goal because it’s simply too challenging. Now don’t get me wrong, this individual could eventually get to the point where they work out every day but going from 0 to 100 in most scenarios will lead to failure.

The best way to set goals for the New Year is to make them SMART goals; goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and that have a Timed deadline. Setting goals like this will put you in a much better position to succeed!
